Having a difficult time creating quick groups/partners in your classroom, well here's a new idea! Just click, print, and lay upon a table top. You can now call by number, letter, shoulder partners, or even face partners. Plus, it's a great SIOP strategy! Try it out and let us know how it works for you.

Building Relationships Through Intentional Affirmations
To help build relationships among the class, focus on providing intentional affirmations. Affirmations should be specific to a person's character or other personal attributes, not superficial or materialistic.
Take a moment to think of a student in your class or building. On a sticky note, write an affirmation you plan to give to this student when you see him or her next. Try this for a couple days and let us know what happens.
