Toss Review- The class gets into a circle. A ball or other object (that won't cause harm) is used to toss between the students in the circle. When you catch the ball, you have to share something from the concept/unit being reviewed. You can decide to allow for repeat answers or not. This is a great game for speaking (and listening, if you can't repeat!). It is also fairly quick to complete. You could always play it more than once. As you see confidence building, you could then change the requirements (for example, no repeating).
Here are some other variations I came up with that I was thinking of using with my class:
1) Spelling words (teacher gives words an d as the ball goes around the students give a letter to spell the word)
2) Adjectives (students give words that describe a given object)
3) How-To (students give steps on how to do something)
4) Math facts (students call out the parts of a number sentence; e.g. "5," "plus," "4," "equals," "9" OR "6," "minus," "1," "equals," "5")
5) Skip counting (each student continues the counting by stating the next number)
6) Building sentences (according to the parameters of the teacher i.e. it must include a noun, adjective, verb, and prepositional phrase)
7) Story retell (students share a part of the story they remember, no repeats)
